Welcome to Bill's Basketball Boogie supporting the Assists Foundation Saturday, June 7, 2008 In Bill Self's five seasons as head coach at Kansas he has won three Big 12 tournament championships and a NCAA National Title. It takes a big vision to win like this - Coach Self also has a big vision for our community. He champions causes that display a disciplined commitment to our youth.
The Boogie will take place so that we can celebrate an unbelieveable season and raise funds to support this vision for youth and community development. So, lace up your high tops and join us on Saturday, June 7, 2008 for a star studded evening of boogying and basketball.
The Beneficiary Coach Self and his family founded the Assists Foundation to help provide young people access to better lives. This is accomplished by identifying areas of need and working with other community based institutions to provide creative and lasting solutions.
The Assists Foundation is diligently raising funds to create a first-of-its-kind multi-purpose athletic campus and help our community based institutions improve their existing facilities. In each will rest healthy lifestyle programs, facilitated by components of education, assessments, prevention, leadership, and competition. These facilities will provide our young people with well deserved new and safe places to play, and it will also provide you and your families with a lifetime of benefits. Our goal for this project is to ensure that the kids we are raising have the necessary resources to outlive their parents. We appreciate your interest and hope you will be a part of the development.
